Cultural Festival “Around the world in 6 days” DAY 5. VIETNAM
The MYP community wandered this time to Asia on the Indochina Peninsula. The fifth day of the ‘Around the World in 6 days’ Festival belonged to grade 6A, who took everyone to the bustling, flavoursome Vietnam. The classroom was decorated with red and gold decorations, lanterns, a dragon and a beautiful giant lotus flower.The students introduced the guests to the extraordinary atmosphere of the country by presenting a traditional dance and striking a gong.
Then they told us about the turbulent history, the rich flora and fauna and the original culture and traditions. We also learned many interesting facts about the country. Finally, we discovered the secrets of the world-famous Vietnamese cuisine; phở soup, fried spring rolls, lotus tea, banh tieu doughnuts and banana cake were just some of the delicacies served by the sixtgraders.
