Table tennis champions of Mokotów learn at Monnet!

December 15, 2022 will go down in MONNET’s sports history for a long time. Pupils and schoolgirls in table tennis joined the competition on that day as part of the Mokotów Championships.

Hours spent during school breaks, training after lessons or gathering experience in weekend tournaments resulted in another very successful performance of children and youth with the MIS logo on their chests:

• A team of younger girls composed of: Frania (4B), Emilia (5A) and Zara (5A). Despite losing to a very strong team, SP 371 were classified on a high 5th place and the game itself showed that hard work was not in vain.

• The team of younger boys composed of: Leon (6A), Alex (6A) after many duels at a really high level turned out to be unbeatable! Winning the title of Champions of Mokotów and gold medals losing only two single matches in the entire tournament!

• The team of older girls in the youth category, consisting of: Zosia, Nelly, Hania also turned out to be unrivaled losing only one duel during the entire tournament. The girls thus won the second title of the day and the gold cup.

• The team of older boys in the youth category, consisting of Tymon and Alan, after a fierce match with SP 103, had to recognize the superiority of their rivals in the ratio of 2:3. Each of the boys won one singles duel and to the full happiness – the medal zone did not take much. In the end, they were classified in 5th place.

It was a great historic day! Two first places, the titles of Champions of Mokotów in one day, and the second title year after year of our talented student Zosia- bravo! However, what is most important for us – Physical Education teachers is once again this school year the amazing TEAM SPIRIT presented by our students! Younger children played with great support from older students, and when they finished their games – they also returned the favor, which is perfectly reflected in the photos from the event, which we encourage you to see below :).

Already in January Leon and Alex and the girls’ team in the youth category will have the right to represent our school and the Mokotów District in the Warsaw Championships.
