On Saturday, October 8, 2022, the 1st School Badminton Championship was held at the gymnasium of AKTYWNA WARSZAWA-ROZBRAT center. This tournament was also the elimination to the school team for the Mokotów Championship, which will be held in a few days. 14 brave students from grades 2-4 PYP, 5-8 MYP and 1 Pre-DP joined the competition.

After over 30 fierce matches, the winners in 4 age categories were selected: Gabrysia (3B), Zosia (5B), Kamila (1 Pre-DP B) and Leon (6A).

All players showed an attitude worthy of the IB student profile: risk-takers– because for most of them it was the first opportunity to play on the regulation pitch with a net, lines or diagonal service, and yet they bravely fought for every point. Of course, as important as winning was having fun, spending an active Saturday afternoon and integrating children from different classes, as you can see in the photos – it was a great success!
