Mokotów Girls’ Football Championship
This year, the Mokotów Girls’ Football Championship was held slightly earlier than usual. After a challenging two-day fight, our wonderful “Golden Girls” won the quarter-final match against ZSOFiK No. 22 3-0. Then they reached the semi-finals, but after a fierce fight finally lost 2:3 to the ZS No. 39 team, which finally won 2nd place. The match for the third place was very equal, the girls fought until the end. Unfortunately, at the end of the second half of the match, the opponents won a good position to shoot and they got the bronze medals from the Mayor Rafał Miastowski in person. Football is becoming a sport of increasing popularity among girls, as evidenced by the number of teams participating and the increasing level of sports competition. Despite the fact that we did not manage to defend the title from the previous years, we are very happy with the 4th place among the 12 schools participating in the competition. Congratulations! Thanks a lot to the girls for joining the tournament despite the starting exams and IB baccalaureate exams.
