Underwater Heroes – what are we up to?
Our group started the project work by working on the first line of inquiry: Underwater Animals and Plants. We then made posters and mock-ups about different aquatic environments and the animals and plants that live in them.
On 4 January, we took part in an online lesson entitled,,Sedes-not trash bins’ organised by MPWiK. We learned what not to put in the toilet and about the sewage treatment process. We realized that sewage treatment plants ensure that the water that flows into the Vistula is clean and does not poison the water environment and its inhabitants.
Last week, we had an online meeting with an expert from the Gdynia Aquarium, who told us about the birds and sea animals that live by the Baltic Sea. We got to know the woolly soft-shell crab.
We are planning a lesson for second graders combined with a theatre performance and a meeting with the diving school team about protecting the aquatic environment.
