Unique guests in the PYP second grades
On May 15, 2025, the second-grade PYP students had a unique opportunity to host five extraordinary guests in their classrooms: a snail, a turtle, a hedgehog, a rabbit, and woodlice.
As part of their ongoing unit of inquiry, centered around the central idea “Living organisms must adapt in order to survive,” the students participated in a workshop during which they learned many fascinating facts about the lifestyle, natural habitat, and adaptive characteristics of these animals. Moreover, the students had the chance to interact with the animals up close, which sparked great excitement and curiosity. This engaging experience served as a perfect complement to the knowledge gained throughout the course of the project.
