The Sports Champions Gala 2024
The Sports Champions Gala has become a permanent fixture in our school’s calendar. At the end of June, the third ceremonial Gala was held to sum up the competitions of our primary and secondary school students in sports competitions at various stages in the 2023-24 School Year.
As usual, our students presented themselves wonderfully in the arena of sports competitions, representing the school 42 times in 13 different disciplines. In individual sports, these included: cross-country running, swimming and athletics, and in team sports: basketball, volleyball, football, table tennis, badminton, gymnastics, swimming, relay races.
Many times, students returned from competitions with medals around their necks and a cup for the school in their hands. Regardless of the result, however, they always returned smiling, satisfied and proud of themselves. Each start is associated with valuable experiences, and sometimes even with new mastered skills. Any participation in competitions, regardless of age, type of competition or level of competition, is associated with the development and shaping of not only the body and health, but above all the psyche and social skills of a young person. That is why we greatly appreciate and are incredibly proud of our brave students. We keep our fingers crossed for further success in the future.
During the Gala, we went through all the starts of our young athletes chronologically and awarded a commemorative medal to each representative of our school. Additionally, in the year-long summary of the classification, we distinguished the most active students with the best results and number of starts in the PYP, MYP- children, MYP- youth and HS categories, broken down into boys and girls.
