The grade 0 students, as part of an ongoing Unit of Inquiry with the central idea: “Knowledge about previous generations helps us understand the relationship between the past and the present”, went back in time to explore the history of writing. Together, they discovered how written communication has evolved over the years, attempted to decipher messages written in cuneiform, and utilised ancient alphabets to convey important information. To conclude, we engaged in creative activities by painting decorative letters.
