Thanksgiving celebration at our school!
On November 28th, fifth-grade students from the MYP program organized the annual Thanksgiving celebrations for their younger peers from the PYP program. This event, part of inter-program collaboration and social activity, became an opportunity for fun, learning, and integration.
After an engaging presentation and reenactment that highlighted the history of Thanksgiving, students had the chance to participate in six diverse stations filled with games, quizzes, and activities. One of the most exciting challenges was the taste test, where younger students, with their eyes covered, tried various treats associated with the holiday, such as pumpkin, cranberry, popcorn, and corn. 🌽
At another station, students could win sweet treats by answering questions related to Thanksgiving traditions. Another station offered the opportunity to assemble puzzles depicting characteristic elements of the holiday. Students also had the chance to create “exploding popcorn,” participate in a cup race with water, and make feathers with words of gratitude that they then attached to a paper turkey, symbolizing the holiday.The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with joy and enthusiasm. Both older and younger students eagerly participated in the planned activities, creating unforgettable memories and building friendships. It was a true feast for the spirit, demonstrating the importance of sharing joy and gratitude. We thank everyone who contributed to the success of this event!
