Summary of the fifth week of the PYP Exhibition
Hi, here are 4 graders!
This week, work on the PYP Exhibition was in full swing! We have finished creating online questionnaires regarding our areas of interest. We continued writing essays. We read articles in English connected to the areas of our interests and created illustrations to them. On the first floor you can see our paintings with group crests.
On Monday, the Internet Masters group met with an expert – Mrs. Katarzyna Alexandrowitsch (mother of Franek from 4b), who presented us the use of the graphic programs. We also invited students from grades 1-4 for workshops about Cyber Security. During the Wednesday workshops conducted by Mr. Bronisław Michalski from OPSEC, we learned, among others, that there are many dangers on the Internet. We learned the methods of how to avoid them, and also learned which applications should not be used in our age.
Last Tuesday the Painters group went to the painter’s workshop – Mr. Andrzej Fogtt. We saw there how the artist’s work looks like. We watched wonderful pictures and listened about the process of creating them. According to the painter, painted or hand-drawn items are more valuable than those made on a computer. Students from the Painters team also finished posters about various eras in art.
Students from the Ultimate Team group wrote down recorded interviews with sports enthusiasts. We also started preparations for a meeting with an athlete who will visit us next week (we will not reveal his name yet).
The Music & Dance group began to create “Schools Hits Radio”, in which we will talk about our passions – dance and music and play music. The students from this group also made presentations about their musical and dance idols. Natalia created a poster documenting her participation in various dance tournaments.
Everything that we did this week was very interesting and taught us a lot.
