Start of the school year 2024/2025 in the PYP

On 2 September at 9.00 a.m., the official start of The New School Year took place in the school playground. In a beautiful, sunny atmosphere, pupils, parents and teachers gathered to start it together.

The event was opened by the vice-principal, who, in her speech, warmly welcomed everyone present and talked about the symbolism of the decoration located on the ground floor. The words: We Will Rise to Meet New Challenges Together! with balloons is not just a decoration, but a promise that we make to each other as a community at the beginning of the year. Each balloon represents a grade level, rising higher with each new challenge and opportunity we face. Like those balloons, we too will rise – lifting each other up as we grow and learn together. She also stressed the importance of mutual support and cooperation in building the school community in the spirit of the IB mission to create better and more peaceful world.

After the official part, the students and their teachers went to their classrooms, where the first meetings after the summer holidays took place.

Here we go for the joy of learning… and teaching!  May the IB mission and the creation of a better world materialise in our school.
