At the start of this school year, students from Grades 5–8 (MYP) embarked on an exciting integration and project-based trip to the charming village of Kozioł near Kolno. The choice of this idyllic location was no accident — its peaceful landscapes, quiet surroundings, and open space created the perfect environment for nurturing creativity, teamwork, and mindfulness. Nature not only soothed the senses but sparked inspiration.
The trip’s central theme, “Legendary,” invited students to immerse themselves in the world of myths and local traditions. From storytelling by the campfire and theatre, painting, and culinary workshops to crafting traditional Kurpie paper cutouts, folk dancing, and singing — each activity was designed to help students connect, create, and pause amidst the rush of everyday life.
For those seeking adventure, the trip offered plenty of thrills: zip-lining, kayaking down the scenic Pisa River, and a night hike through the Pisz Forest to a mysterious German bunker. One of the highlights was a quaint bridge leading to the other side of the river — a favorite spot for exploration and reflection. Our MYP community returned from Kozioł energized and inspired, ready to embrace the new school year with fresh perspective and lasting memories.
