Happy Independence Day!
On the occasion of the Independence Day celebrations, third grade students prepared a school assembly for the PYP school community. Patriotic poems were recited during the assembly. “Twój dom” by Wanda Chotomska, “11 listopada” by Czesław Janczarski, a poem entitled “Polska” by Antoni Słonimski and “Oblicze ojczyzny” by Tadeusz Różewicz. In addition, the students sang patriotic songs such as “Legiony” and “Marsz pierwszej brygady” and the most important song, the Polish anthem “Mazurek Dąbrowskiego”.
The topic of independence in relation to the freedom of every person in every country in the world was emphasized by poems recited by students in Ukrainian, Belarusian and German.
During the assembly, we had the opportunity to listen to the poem “Kto ty jesteś? Polak mały” and the song „Ułani” performed by children from our kindergarten. Thank you very much for your cooperation with the students and teachers of the kindergarten.
Also, the third-graders organized art workshops during which they showed how to prepare patriotic cotillions. With their support, every PYP student left school with a handmade cotillion.
