Grade 3 trip to the National Museum
On September 23, grades 3a and 3b went on a trip to the National Museum for a museum lesson entitled “Hieroglyphs and cuneiform writing”.
Classes were held in the Galleries of Ancient and Medieval Art. At the beginning, the students got acquainted with the Latin inscriptions in the Roman part of the Ancient Art Gallery, then they went on to the first two writing systems, i.e. monuments with cuneiform and hieroglyphs. We also managed to visit ancient Greek, from which (one third) our alphabet is derived. Finally, together with our guide, they went to the Medieval Art Gallery and saw the date with the medieval number 4.
All the stops at the Ancient Art Gallery were accompanied by interesting tasks.
