Día de los Muertos 🌼💀
October 30th focused in MYP classes on learning about the culture of Dia de los Muertos. On this occasion, all students gathered on the beautifully decorated 4th floor where they watched a Mexican film together. Before the screening, Pola, Lusia, Maja, Janek and Basia from class 6B talked about the message and emotions accompanying the celebration of Dia de los Muertos in Mexico. They drew attention to three elements that appear particularly clearly in the film: calaveras, catrinas and flor de muertos.
The 4th floor was decorated with colorful garlands of cempasuchil flowers, which the 5th graders had previously made themselves. The 6th grade students, in turn, made colorful calaveras skulls.
It was an exceptionally colorful day full of Mexican energy.
