In October, second-grade students welcomed experts to their classrooms. We were visited by dental hygienists from the nearby „Przyjazna Stomatologia” dental office. The meeting was organized as part of the Unit of Inquiry: “The choices people make affect their health and well-being.” 

The visit full of practical tips on how to maintain a healthy smile. The hygienists presented different types of toothbrushes—manual, sonic, and electric—and explained how to use them properly. The students learned about the structure of a tooth and why daily brushing and flossing are so important for oral health.

Together, we sorted food products into those that have a positive and negative impact on our teeth. The students had a lot of fun practicing flossing and brushing on tooth models.At the end, each participant received a starter kit for oral hygiene – we would like to thank the hygienists for the interesting classes and valuable tips!
