December is surely the most magical month of the year for children, especially on days like today, when they receive presents. At our school, before the gifts reach the students’ hands, the children take part in workshops where they create decorations and sweet treats for our Christmas fair. The goal is meaningful — every year the funds we raise are donated to a charity, so we do our best to make our creations as beautiful as possible. And our gingerbread cookies certainly are — plus, they taste delicious.

Later in the day, all the children found their presents from St. Nicholas and remembered to prepare thank-you cards as well. It was yet another “best day at school.”
