On November 16, we returned to Krakow to compete in the 2nd edition of the GYMNASTIC CUP. This time, the tournament took place in an even larger sports hall, “Hutnik”, and over 300 gymnasts and gymnasts took part in 3 competitions.

 Our School and Gymnastics Team were bravely represented by PYP students: Sonia (class 2b), Karolina (2b), Stasia (2a), Aniela (3b), Hania (3b), Ola (3b), Julia (3a), Helena (3b), Melania (4b), Agata (4a), Alicja (4a), Lila (4a), Nina (4a) and Ania (4a). It should be noted that the girls had been preparing for the competition since the beginning of September as part of additional afternoon classes under the supervision of PE TEAM coaches, and after a whole day of competition and almost 40 performances in very high-level competitions, they managed to win the following places on the podium:

• Julia B. (class 3): gold medal in balance beam exercises
• Sonia B. (2): silver medal in balance beam exercises
• Stasia W. (2): bronze medal in balance beam exercises
• Alicja B. (4a): bronze medal in balance beam exercises
• Additionally, Alicja B. (4a) received a special distinction from the head judge for a perfect performance of her routine on the Air-track

Additionally, in this edition, team scoring was conducted, where we ultimately managed to win a great 7th place among clubs and gymnastics schools. This trip would not have been possible without the wonderful Mr. Piotr – the driver and all the coaches preparing the girls for the participation: Mrs. Emilia, Maja, Matylda and Coach Jarosław, who was also present with us during the competition that day.
