Literary Map of Warsaw
During this year’s edition of the Literary Map of Warsaw, 5th grade students checked the knowledge of the Varsovians about the alphabet based on Wanda Chotomska’s poem “Abecadło”. With the help of students, all encountered people were able to solve prepared rebuses. As a reward, 5th graders distributed poems written by the writer.
Part of the older elementary, middle and high school students was active in Krakowskie Przedmieście. On the occasion of the artists’ birthdays, they gave passers-by cupcakes with their own hands and handed balloons.
They also distributed four issues of “Literary News” prepared today. Each issue was dedicated to a different writer – Juliusz Słowacki, Gustaw Herling-Grudziński, Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz, and Marek Hłasko. In each weekly, you could find the artist’s figure, interesting facts about him and fragments of poems.
