Traditions

 

I.  Integration excursions at the start of the school year:

-         once it was to Podlesice in Skałki

-         then it was to Cetniewo

-         lately is was to Koszelówka

II.   Language exchanges:

-         French exchange in September,

-         German exchange in June,

-         we have created a contact with King’s College School, London, with the intention of organising an exchange for pupils and teachers.

III.  School Ceremonies:

-         every year, each class prepares one ceremony,

-         the School Prom always takes place at school and is prepared by the pupils (we do not organise extravagant balls in expensive hotels!!!).

IV.  “Cool-tural” meetings

These are great occasions at school. Our guests have included (among many others):

-         Professor Władysław Bartoszewski.

-         Professors: Marek Safjan, Wiktor Osiatyński, Bronisław Geremek and Nobel Prize winner, William Gilbert.

-         writers: Julia Hartwig, Wojciech Albiński; outside school there was a meeting organised for the students with Sławomir Mrożek.

-         journalists: Maria Wiernikowska, Jacek Żakowski, Konstanty Gebert, Rev. Adam Boniecki.

-         filmmakers: Sławomir Fabicki, Joanna Kos-Krauze, Krzysztof Krauze, Ewa Braun.

V.  School theatre and other activities – these vary, depending on the needs of the pupils.

VI.  Excursions for subject workshops – Polish, history, biology, geography, outdoor Art.

VII. Debates, art festivals
